Nestled into the hills of Ross, this project expands upon a previously completed renovation by adding an attached ADU above a new carport that seamlessly integrates with the existing home. An efficiency kitchen and living room form the core of the ADU, offering a dedicated destination and gathering space. Large casement windows and polygonal clerestories match the language of the primary house, framing views of the surrounding landscape and bringing in abundant natural light. Inside, white oak, clay tile, and crisp drywall details create a refined, understated palette. Ipe decks and railings introduce a warm counterpoint to the cool exterior tones. The work also includes a remodel of the primary bedroom in the main house, raising the floor-to-ceiling height and widening the window openings to strengthen the visual and spatial connection to the site and unify the design across the property.
